The Law on sustainable waste management define that hazardous waste is any waste that contains substances that have any of the following characteristics: explosiveness, reactivity, flammability, irritability, noxiousness, toxicity, infectivity, carcinogenicity, mutagenicity, teratogenicity, ecotoxicity, characteristic oxidizing property etching and as degassing chemical reaction or biological decomposition.
